Building on their legacy as one of America’s premier art colleges, VCUArts in Richmond VA commissioned the design and construction of an Institute for Contemporary Art and committed to placing this hallmark structure in the heart of Richmond, at the corner of Broad and Belvedere. This movie tells the story of the ICA’s conception, design and construction, with a particular focus on how a museum can fully engage the community at multiple levels.
